Water service projects typically begin with a site visit to determine the source of the problem.
Common signs include unexplained water usage, city notifications regarding excessive consumption, visible leaks near the curb stop, or water entering drain tile systems.
Because restoration costs can often exceed the cost of the utility work itself, our preferred method is typically directional boring. A small access pit is excavated near the curb stop, and a boring system is used to install a new HDPE water service beneath lawns, sidewalks, driveways, and landscaping with minimal disturbance.
Once installed, the new water line is connected at the curb stop and inside the home at the water meter. The work area is then restored and cleaned up.

When our camera goes in the ground, we usually know what we're going to find before we see it. There's a lot of history in these pipes.
Driveways and sidewalks stay completely untouched.
Turf, gardens, irrigation, and trees left intact.
Most trenchless repairs are wrapped in a single day.
Low water pressure throughout the home, discolored water, unexplained wet spots in the yard, a water bill that spiked without explanation, or visible corrosion on the service line where it enters the house.
Galvanized steel in mid-century homes, which corrodes from the inside and restricts flow over time. Copper in homes from the 1960s through 1990s. PEX in newer construction. Galvanized lines are the most common candidate for replacement in the Duluth and Twin Ports area.
