A driveway project sounds simple until the grade is wrong or the base is inadequate and nobody caught it. We do full removal, subgrade excavation, and drainage grading before we leave, so the paving crew has what they need from day one. Haul-off included. Same crew on every job.
We serve Duluth, Proctor, Hermantown, Two Harbors, Superior, Ashland, and Cloquet. Bonded and licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
From first cut to clean handoff — the paving crew gets what they need.
We assess the existing grade, surface condition, and drainage before we schedule equipment. What we find during the walkthrough determines how we approach the job.
The existing surface is fully removed and hauled off site. We do not leave material on site for someone else to deal with.
We excavate to the correct depth for the intended surface — concrete and asphalt require different base depths and we account for that from the start.
Slope and drainage are corrected before compaction. A driveway that does not shed water properly will fail, and we address that at this stage.
The subgrade is compacted and the site is handed off to the paving crew. We communicate directly with them to make sure there are no surprises.
We are on the approved lists for the builders who move the most projects in Duluth and Superior.
ProCon manages commercial and multi-unit projects across the Twin Ports. We handle excavation and site prep work for their builds.
Lagom Home Builders builds custom homes in Duluth. We handle driveway and site excavation for their new construction projects.
Driveway excavation includes full removal of the existing surface, subgrade excavation to the correct depth, drainage grading and slope correction, base compaction, and haul-off of all removed material. We hand off to the paving crew with a clean, ready surface.
Yes. Haul-off is included. We remove all existing concrete, asphalt, gravel, or base material and dispose of it off site. You do not need to arrange separate hauling.
We assess drainage during the initial site walkthrough and correct slope and drainage issues during the subgrade phase. A driveway that does not shed water properly will fail prematurely, so drainage grading is part of every job.
Yes. Concrete and asphalt require different base depths and compaction standards. We ask which surface you are planning before we start so we excavate and prepare the subgrade to the right spec.
